France’s Auchan to invest 20–30 bln rbl in Russia annually
MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- French retailer Auchan plans to invest 20–30 billion rubles in Russia annually and open 30–40 stores per year, Auchan Retail Russia President Jean-Pierre Germain told reporters Tuesday.
“We assume opening around 10 hypermarkets and 20–30 supermarkets per year. As of today, we have invested 200 billion rubles to open 100 hypermarkets and 170 supermarkets. We have around 20–30 billion rubles of investments per year, this depends on those opportunities that are provided to us,” he said.
He said Auchan plans to open around 10 stores in Moscow and the Moscow Region in 2017. On Tuesday, Auchan opened its 100th store in Russia.
